Mikey Likes It

If there has been one theme for the Browns' off-season, it has been "change".

Mike Holmgren was brought in this off-season, and his actions speak volumes. He jettisoned quarterbacks Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn. He traded Corey Williams and his big contract to Detroit. He traded former first round pick Kamrion Wimbley.

He brought in veterans Jake Delhomme, Seneca Wallace, Tony Pashos, and Scott Fujita. He added to those today by making a great deal to acquire Sheldon Brown and Chris Gocong from the Eagles.

Defensive tackle Shaun Rogers could possibly be  the next player on the way out after his recent arrest.

Holmgren has done these moves without much fanfare. With ten draft picks remaining in the NFL Draft, this team will not remotely resemble the one that took the field last year. Eric Mangini will have his work cut out for him as they will be thin on explosive playmakers.

There is no denying that this team already has Holmgren's fingerprints all over it. Now if he can only get them into the Superbowl like he did with the Packers and the Seahawks.
