The biggest rise: Dan Williams going from the Jets with 29th pick to the Dolphins at the 12th pick.
The biggest fall: Rolando McClain going from the Giants at 15 to the 26th overall pick.
If these predictions are totally off base, I will just tell everyone it was actually Matt Millen's mock draft because it's easier than accepting failure.
1. St. Louis Rams - Sam Bradford, QB: I don’t care if Billy Devaney blows smoke in my face all day: Sam Bradford is the $45 million dollar man.
2. Detroit Lions – Ndamukong Suh, DT: The Lions want to trade down. I could see them flip-flopping with Tampa Bay because the Bucs are apparently enamored with Suh. If a trade doesn’t happen, Suh is the guy.
3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Gerald McCoy, DT: The Buccaneers might have to settle for Gerald McCoy. McCoy could easily be the top pick in most drafts. Sometimes settling is a good thing.
4. Washington Redskins – Trent Williams, OT: Shanahan likes athletic tackles, and this guy is the most athletic tackle in the draft. He could be another Ryan Clady.
5. Kansas City Chiefs – Bryan Bulaga, OT: No, I’m not “waking n’ baking” like Santonio Holmes. The Chiefs already have Brandon Alberts and Brian Waters at left tackle and left guard. Bulaga’s versatility is what would get him selected over Russell Okung. Bulaga could play any of the tackle or guard positions and take over for Waters when he’s ready to retire.
6. Seattle Seahawks – Russell Okung, OT: Pete Carroll might pass out if he got this lucky. Walter Jones is retiring as a Hall of Fame left tackle. It would be nice to replace him with a potential Pro Bowl caliber player.
7. Cleveland Browns – Eric Berry, S: Holmgren is desperate to trade out of this pick. Eric Berry might be his only logical choice as the best player left on the board.
8. Oakland Raiders – Mike Iupati, OL: This is a rumor I would love to ignore. Except it’s the Raiders and picking a guard at the eighth overall pick makes no sense at all. So it’s going to happen. Unless this pick becomes Ben Roethlisberger.
9. Buffalo Bills – Jimmy Clausen, QB: Clausen is the pick again at nine. I think he’s overly confident in his abilities. That will serve him very well as a NFL quarterback.
10. Jacksonville Jaguars – Derrick Morgan, DE: Make this pick three for three on my mocks. I just might think the Jaguars are a tiny bit desperate for pass rush help.
11. Denver Broncos – Joe Haden, CB: With their big need being wide receiver and a 3-4 defensive end, Haden is the surest bet of this group. I don’t see the Broncos replacing Brandon Marshall with Dez Bryant.
12. Miami Dolphins – Dan Williams, NT: With Dez Bryant and C.J. Spiller still on the board, they could go in their direction, but the Dolphins defense fell apart last season. Putting a big plugger, like Williams, in the middle could help sure up the run defense.
13. San Francisco 49ers – C.J. Spiller, RB: The Niners need an offensive tackle and a cornerback: Spiller is too good to pass up. Can you imagine him splitting time with Frank Gore, catching passes out of the backfield, and returning punts? He could have a rookie season very similar to Reggie Bush.
14. Seattle Seahawks – Dez Bryant, WR: No Brandon Marshall trade? No problem. Here’s a top five talent with attitude issues just waiting to be plucked.
15. New York Giants – Anthony Davis, OT: The offensive and defensive lines seemed to fall apart at the end of last season. Davis is a naturally talented kid who needs some tough coaching, and Coughlin could be the perfect coach for him.
16. Tennessee Titans - Jason Pierre-Paul, DE: Another three for three pick. The Titans need a pass rusher badly and adding this raw, inexperienced, athletic freak could bring back memories of Jevon Kearse.
17. San Francisco 49ers – Kyle Wilson, CB: Some have Wilson ahead of Haden on their draft boards. San Francisco would fill a huge hole with this selection.
18. Pittsburgh Steelers – Maurkice Pouncey, C/OG: Pouncey could step right in and play right guard and center. With Roethlisberger’s probable suspension, this team will need all the blocking it can get.
19. Atlanta Falcons – Sergio Kindle, DE/OLB: The Falcons need a big time playmaker on defense, and Kindle has game changing ability. He’s also been compared to Shawn Merriman.
20. Houston Texans – Earl Thomas, S: An instinctual playmaker on the back end of this defense is a must. Would be a steal at this point in the draft, but other team’s needs might cause Thomas to drop.
21. Cincinnati Bengals – Jermaine Gresham, TE: The Bengals don’t have a lot of overwhelming needs. Tight end is the biggest of them, and Gresham is the best one at that position in this draft. Sounds simple enough.
22. New England Patriots – Brandon Graham: I return Graham to where I thought he was going to go all along. The Patriots need an edge rusher in a bad way, and Graham is a bona fide playmaker.
23. Green Bay Packers – Charles Brown, OT: Aaron Rodgers can’t continue to get harassed in the pocket. Keeping him healthy is the number one priority. The draft has some depth at the cornerback position, so selecting an offensive tackle with the first pick is a necessity.
24. Philadelphia Eagles – Jerry Hughes, DE/OLB: The Eagles would love to trade up to get a safety like Earl Thomas, but Hughes would be a fine addition to a club looking for pass rushers to help strengthen a defense that struggled much of last season.
25. Baltimore Ravens – Devin McCourty, CB: The Ravens were decimated by injuries in the defensive backfield and depth at the corner position is an absolute. McCourty is also a great returner, which only makes him more valuable at this point in the draft.
26. Arizona Cardinals - Rolando McClain, LB: There has been concern about McClain’s not being compact enough to play middle linebacker in the NFL. I have also heard that he is not a violent enough tackler and that may scare some teams off. I think he is a very good football player. If the Cardinals could get him at this spot, it would make losing Karlos Dansby a whole lot easier to forget.
27. Dallas Cowboys – Vladimir Ducasse, OG/OT: Ducasse would be going to a perfect situation in Dallas. He wouldn’t have to start immediately and could enhance his knowledge of the game (he only has six years of organized football experience). He’s a big, burly-type tackle and has first round type athleticism.
28. San Diego Chargers – Ryan Mathews, RB: One more three for three on my mock drafts. When your starting running back weighs 175 pounds, he might need some help toting the rock.
29. New York Jets – Jared Odrick, DE: If the Jets haven’t done enough all off season, bringing in the top rated 3-4 defensive end would be a pretty good cherry on top. New York is aging at the position, and Odrick’s tenacity would only bolster an already talented defense.
30. Minnesota Vikings – Patrick Robinson, CB: The most physically gifted cornerback in this draft. Robinson has issues with technique, but at this point in the draft his “pros” outweigh his “cons”.
31. Indianapolis Colts –Tyson Alualu, DT: A miscast college 3-4 defensive end, Alualu would fit perfectly in Indy’s one gap style defense. As a high character guy, he would also fit in perfectly in an already strong locker room.
32. New Orleans Saints – Daryl Washington, LB: With such a glaring need at outside linebacker, Washington is a natural choice because he is an excellent tackler and pass defender. It would also be cool to have two players drafted in the first round of the same draft from Texas Christian University.
